In these last years SITEC has undertaken a systematic activity of search, development and technological innovation on topics of new mechanical and mechatronical productions, laser applications to the metrology, innovation of processes and products, in particular in the automotive field, taking advantage  of intense and continuous collaborations with the DIMEG - Polytechnic of Bari and the DIFA - University of Basilicata. Fruit of such (this) collaboration is the prototype of an optical interferometry laser system, known as Metrologic Laser System, able to measure gage block.

In the same time we studied the interferences produced by Temperature - Humidity - Vibrations on mechanical measurement. The study has carried to the realization of a Metrological Laboratory in which execute in the best way every type of measurements.

In adding to the wide know-how about classic metrology, SITEC takes advantage of external competences about laser techniques and applications, rapid prototyping, and automatic remote control movements, with the above mentioned university centers and also with the research and technology transfer centre Centro Laser S.c.r.l. - Valenzano (BA). All these structures have been already involved in various plans of national and international breath. These collaborations contribute to supply qualitative and quantitative thickness to the SITEC’s research and development projects for the present and most of all for the future.
