For the UNI EN ISO 9001 certified companies the calibration of the measuring instruments is fundamental in order to assure the quality of the products. A good measurement is warranted by the experience of a good and trained metrologist and also the knowledge of the R&R and MSA (Measuring System Analysis) for the adopted instrument. The periodic calibration becomes essential in order to attest the correct measuring ability of the instrument; the metrological properties are compared with those of the primary references (certified by a primary metrological institute like SIT, NIST, DKD, … that gives the traceability to the measurement).

The calibration service in SITEC takes place for customer’s will, knowing its vocation for the quality and the dimensional controls. In time the calibration laboratory has been equipped with vanguard control instruments and structured to guarantee the optimal thermo-hygrometric parameters established by the ISO 1 International Standards report where, for mechanics, the reference temperature is 20 °C. Furthermore the laboratory is build on a suitable anti-vibrating floor and it’s provided with special granite surfaces.
