From inquiry to concept to quotation preparation

The design of a measuring instrument arises from the specific need of the customer. In response to a request, the SITEC S.r.l. team analyzes the measurement problem, gathering all the necessary information to develop a preliminary concept.

This information may include:

  • Technical drawings of the part or assembly to be checked.
  • Design dimensions and tolerances, which are essential to ensure the accuracy of the measurement system.
  • Planned timing of the measurement, to ensure that the instrument fits seamlessly into the customer’s manufacturing processes.

The requirements elicitation process is managed by the SITEC team, which ensures that all technical specifications are collected and interpreted correctly. At the end of this preliminary phase, a concept of the measurement system is developed, accompanied by a detailed quotation for implementation.

Analysis

Every measuring instrument designed by SITEC S.r.l. comes from a careful analysis phase of the customer's needs. Our team evaluates the measurement problem, gathering all the necessary technical information to develop a tailored solution. This process includes the study of technical drawings, the analysis of design dimensions and tolerances, and the definition of the expected timing of the measurement. Concept

After collecting and analyzing all the data, the SITEC S.r.l. team develops a preliminary concept, which is an initial design hypothesis of the measuring instrument. Offer

Once the concept has been defined, SITEC S.r.l. prepares a detailed offer that includes an estimate for the implementation of the measuring instrument. The proposal includes all technical and functional specifications, as well as the estimated delivery time. Our team works closely with the client to ensure a customized solution, meeting his budget and timeline requirements. Each proposal is developed with an approach aimed at maximum quality and reliability, ensuring innovative and high-performance instruments.

Design

After acceptance of the quote, the SITEC S.r.l. team initiates the detailed design phase, developing both the mechanical structure and, if necessary, the electronic and software components. Each instrument is designed to ensure measurement accuracy and repeatability. During the design, the customer is actively involved in a constant exchange of information, allowing the project to be optimized and ensure that it fully meets the customer's operational needs.

Construction

Once the design is completed, we proceed with the fabrication of the instrument, which includes the construction of components, assembly, and integration of control systems. The entire process is managed in-house by SITEC S.r.l., ensuring total control over the quality and conformity of the final product. Close collaboration between designers and production engineers enables optimizations to be made as the work progresses, ensuring reliable, high-performance solutions in every detail.

Inspection and testing

Upon completion of construction, each measuring instrument undergoes rigorous testing at SITEC S.r.l.'s metrology laboratory. The characterization process includes R&R study, to assess repeatability and reproducibility, and verification of dimensional and geometric characteristics to ensure conformity. Each instrument is accompanied by a final certification and related technical documentation, ensuring accuracy, reliability and complete traceability of the product.
